Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Serving: 4 servings

Ingredients:

Four salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

1/4 cup soy sauce

Two tablespoons honey

One tablespoon grated fresh ginger

Two garlic cloves, minced

One tablespoon rice vinegar

One tablespoon sesame oil

One tablespoon vegetable oil

Two green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

One tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and vegetable oil to make the glaze.

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon, reserving the other half for later.

Ensure the salmon is evenly coated with the glaze. Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminium foil for easy cleanup.

Remove the marinated salmon from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes. Transfer the salmon fillets to the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

While the salmon is baking, you can prepare the glaze for drizzling. Heat the reserved glaze over medium heat in a small saucepan until it bubbles.

Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and brush the thickened glaze over the fillets.

Garnish the Ginger Soy Glazed Salmon with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds (optional) before serving.
