There are now three more ways to get a COVID-19 jab walk-in during the holiday season.

Following the success of the vaccination “pop-ups” in Lincoln last week, three more centers will allow people to come in for their vaccines on a “first come, first served” basis without an appointment.

On Wednesday, December 29, there will be an immunization team at the Springfields Events and Conference Center, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., including boosters and the first and second doses. The team will also vaccinate young people aged 12 to 15.

On Thursday, December 30, there will be two pop-ups. One will be in Stamford at the Stamford Arts Center, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and will be supported by a vaccination team from Lakeside Hereward and Stamford, who will offer boosters, as well as first and second doses.

The other pop-up next Thursday will see a return to Engine Shed, Lincoln, between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., where the vaccination team will offer boosters and first and second doses.

Rebecca Neno, COVID and Influenza Vaccination Programs Director at NHS Lincolnshire CCG, said: β€œThe pop-ups we showed in Lincoln this week at Minster Medical Practice, Portland Medical Practice and Engine Shed were released in response to the comments of the local population. and have been very successful, vaccinating several hundred people in a matter of days. That’s why we want to launch more pop-ups next week in Lincoln, Spalding and Stamford.

β€œIn the past ten days, we have administered over 113,000 (113,029) booster shots to people at our sites across the county, which is incredible, and we continue to do our utmost to ensure that all Eligible people are offered a booster vaccine, in line with the government’s commitment.

β€œPlus we always have the ‘evergreen’ offer that people can still get the first and second dose if they haven’t already had them, so come see us – either at one of the our pop-up events, either at one of our vaccination centers – as soon as possible.

Anyone 18 years and older who received their second dose at least three months ago is eligible for a booster vaccination (16 years and older with underlying conditions). Anyone 12 years of age and older can receive a first and second dose of covid vaccination, but parents / guardians 12 to 15 years old must be present to give consent.

Rebecca added, β€œWhether it’s getting a boost or having your first or second dose, please don’t let it go. Omicron spreads very quickly and having two doses of the COVID vaccination and a booster is the best way to give yourself the maximum protection possible. “

If you can’t attend one of the pop-up sessions next week, there are other ways to get a jab, including pre-booked appointments at the two county mass vaccination centers at PRSA, Boston and the Lincolnshire Showground. Click here for more details.
