For many people, Clarkson’s Farm is one of Amazon Prime’s biggest hits.

The former Top Gear presenter’s adventures on Diddly Squat Farm have captivated viewers around the world.

And for many fans, a trip to the Diddly Squat Farm Shop near Chadlington in Oxfordshire is almost a pilgrimage.

The store itself is now closed until February, but many people will already be eagerly awaiting the chance to purchase cow juice or one of the imaginative Jeremy Clarkson-named candles.

The Farm Shop has attracted more than its fair share of reviews on TripAdvisor since it opened – and some of them are downright hilarious.

We’ve rounded up some of our favorites.

“… the mud is worse than Glastonbury”

TripAdvisor user evil_edna visited Diddly Squat Farm Shop on her way to the “Chipping Norton panto” – and it seems fair to say that she was not impressed.

Giving Farm Shop a single star, the reviewer called it a “garbage load.”

The reviewer added: “But the mud is worse than Glastonbury (and I’m a country boor very used to the mud) and dumps in the road. Most of the people there seemed to only want a photo of the sign – can -be they think it’s Las Vegas. “

Other concerns included the fact that the labels on the souvenirs are “all wonky.”

“If you’re complaining about the mud maybe don’t go to a farm shop … stick to Waitrose”

Tayseymour was more favorable to Diddly Squat Farm Shop in their TripAdvisor review.

Describing it as “a nice little place,” the reviewer lashed out at others complaining about the prices and the mud.

The review said: β€œThe farm store itself is expensive, but it won’t exactly be the supermarket prices for fresh farm food !?

“It’s a little muddy when it rains … obviously it’s a farm?

“If you’re complaining about the mud maybe don’t go to a farm shop … stick with Waitrose.

“The little barn behind the store was lovely and we had a bite to eat there. Nice.”

“Ruined shoes and a dirty car interior are a legacy of our visit”

TripAdvisor user 250guest clearly did not enjoy his visit to the farm shop as much as he could have hoped.

Describing it as “Diddly Squat by name, diddly squat reality”, the reviewer complained that “crumbling shoes and a dirty car interior are a legacy of our visit.”

Walking through the mud and entering the store itself seems to have done little to improve their mood, either, as the stock has been described as a “limited supply of goods and ridiculously overpriced goods!”

They added, “I love Clarkson’s writing, I was looking forward to a fun visit, but he now has a crazy respect from me.”

“Rotate the parking lot”

Dreamer601184 enjoyed their trip – but maybe not for the reasons many other people who have visited Diddly Squat have.

When they got to the farm, they didn’t like the appearance of a queue and instead decided to embark on a self-guided tour of the parking lot.

They added: “I took a look at the queue for the hangar decided to walk around the parking lot, walk around the parking lot and check out the nice parked cars and the Chavs in sneakers white women trying to walk to the farm store.

“Made it down to Deddington at the lovely Eagles delicatessen, no mud or a line, not even too expensive, Happy Days.”

“Okay, if you’re willing to pay Β£ 20 for a little tin candle that reads ‘that smell of my cock!’

Christine H was another visitor who was not a fan of Diddle Squat.

She wrote: “How the hell does that attract people, God knows !! Squat has to refer to the very small store with very little stuff. Okay if you’re willing to pay Β£ 20 for a tiny tin candle that reads ‘that smell of my b ***** ks!’.

It seems unlikely that the examiner will make a return trip either.

They added, “First visit because my granddaughter wanted to go and definitely the last. I noticed that people coming out of the store had very little means to buy and I’m not surprised.”

“If, like Peppa Pig, you like muddy puddles and the chance to have your car stuck in the mud and towed by a tractor, this is your place.”

Themantheman was another user who may not have enjoyed his visit for the usual reasons – saying (perhaps a little sarcastically) that Diddly Squat has “the best muddy parking lot I’ve ever visited”.

They added, β€œIf, like Peppa Pig, you like muddy puddles and the chance to have your car stuck in the mud and towed by a tractor, this is your place.

“The kids saw the Clarkson Farm show and loved touring the farm. Even though the tour was just the very muddy parking lot and the excellent Diddle Squat Farm sign for a photo op.”

They did not visit the store, however, adding that there was “no way” they would line up for it.
